Roger Bond Luscombe (1853-1925):

Roger Bond Luscombe (born Hendham, Woodleigh 1853, son of Henry Luscombe), married to Susan, emigrated to New Zealand in 1874, had children there and returned to Devon in 1912 to purchase Combe Royal.

He was a builder and horticulturist. Two of his brothers also emigrated - William Lavers Luscombe and Philip Henry Bond Luscombe.

Roger Bond Luscombe's first son was also a Roger and he remained in Devon, farming. The other families all established themselves in New Zealand and did not return to Devon.
