no sorry, this seems to be the wrong couple, because

this is Rodney's obituary, unfortunately

it gives family members' names that confirm this is the right couple

(just to confirm, this is the obituary for the *other* Rodney married to Sandra, the couple on the electoral roll ... he died in 2011 and has a different family:

Just for ref other helpers I think I've pretty much eliminated the marriage malyon found as both appear to have been born 1950s, so not the right Wendy unfortunately.

Look at 'messages ' at top of page, will PM you the probable birth reg for Wendy.

Becky make sure you have your birth name on a tree on here, so that if Wendy looks for you it will show up, and if your sub lapses to 'free membership' make sure you update your email with GR if you change it, so you can be notified if Wendy does send a message at some point.

There are a lot of Wendy Greenwoods unfortunately, but you could eliminate some from the electoral roll as they have middle initials...

The marriage Malyon mentions is to Inman, and there is a Wendy Inman that shows up in Leeds on the electoral roll,

buying the marriage cert is a long shot but it would give you the name of her father probably, so you could at least eliminate it?

She said that her name is still Greenwood, but I don't know if she is still in the area I'm afraid. Caroline and Andrea are definitely her sisters.

Sorry crossed posts there, so Caroline has said she doesn't speak to Wendy..but does she know if Wendy is still in the area or whether she married?

Becky, have you confirmed from Caroline or Andrea that they are in fact Wendy's sisters? as there is another Riley Greenwood marriage in Leeds Yorks about the same time.

Are you able to tell me her DOB please Rambling Rose and anything else you managed to find? With that, the Salvation Army may be able to help!

On the letter given to my parents when they adopted me, it said she was not in contact with her family any more. It also said that Alec was going to move back to Scotland with his father. I also can't find anything to do with him. I managed to find Caroline on Facebook and she said she doesn't speak to Wendy any more. I have searched everywhere I can think of and found nothing so far!

I am searching for Wendy Greenwood. I believe she was born in or around 1963 in Yorkshire, her parents are both now deceased but they were Sandra & Rodney Greenwood. She has two sisters who I don't think she is in contact with any more, Andrea (Jowitt) & Caroline (Greenwood).

I believe she was 18 or 19 when she gave birth to me on 18th November 1982 at St James hospital in Leeds, West Yorkshire. I was adopted in 1983. The name on my original birth certificate was Zara Alexandra Greenwood, i was adopted by George & Collette Johnson. The name of my biological father is Alex Wylie and he is Scottish. I am not sure if he is alive or not.

I am desperately seeking information on either of them as I'd love to be able to send an e-mail to Wendy.
