I am looking for information for John C Leckey born in Donegal 1882 and emigrated to New Zealand 1908
I think he married Margaret Edna Wright 1922 and had a son John Alexander 1923 named after his grandfather.
I think John C Leckey was in the army in New Zealand.
Any information would be good. :-D

Strath Taieri Schools 125th Reunion - Middlemarch

Thank you for all that information. I noted that John Cunningham Leckey date of birth, 11th May 1882. He was born 9th May 1882 and had a twin sister. It gave his name as John only and he was John C in the 1901 census and I though it was Clarke after his mother's maiden name at first until the second born had Clarke in their name.
He travelled to New Zealand with his cousin in 1908 but he died 1916.
I wonder how many children John Cunningham had and if there are any descendants there today.

Aspen, might be worth looking up the names on that Strath Taieri reunion, there are other Leckeys listed, some of an age to possibly be children of John Alexander?
