Don't forget that if the OP was born during WW2 then the place of birth may have no relevance, as mothers to be were often sent away to safety for the births. |

Just clicked to send a message and wonder as the full name shows, if Sans is correct after all as it is given as surname and the OP 'may ' have been born 1943...for which there is an entry on Freebmd in both names, Sans and mmn. |

There are 7 potential siblings to that Jack all born Cranbrook, I'm not as yet seeing any further records for Jack not in England or Wales anyway. |

I am 72 years old and still searching for my father Jack Henry Sans a gunner in the Royal Artillery army number 1711289. This is all the information I have from my birth certificate. I do not know if he is alive or dead. The Ministry of Defence will not release any information to me unless I produce a death certificate. If I had that I wouldn't need them. He has a very unusual surname Sans without a D. This seems to have made the search even harder as I can find no record in births marriage or death lists. Did he exist I ask myself. Any advice or help would be much appreciated. |
