I am just starting to build my Family Tree.
My Name is Stephen Croft, mys Sister is Marie, Mum and Dad both deceased,
Brian, and Patricia.
If anyone may have done some work on a tree and may be a relative to me, and may allow me to view your tree to help.
I would be very grateful.
Regards.
Steve.

Welcome to GR Stephen.

The best way to find relatives on this site is to use the Search All Members Trees function - top right under Search. Send anyone who lists your relatives a message explaining your relationship and asking what theirs is. Although its a personal choice, we wouldnt recommend automatically giving tree access.

If they open their tree to you, take the info as guidance only and always check independently.

You can always check if your message has been read by looking in your Sent Message box on GR. Unopened ones have an envelope icon next to them. There are quite a few dormant trees/accounts on the site.

One of the T&C of the site is that you shouldn't really add living people to your tree without their permission. One exception is if you or they were adopted and you are trying to find birth relatives.

There are a number of stickied threads on Find Ancestors which will help you on your way. If you require specific help, by all means post on the relevant boards giving as much info as you can

Enjoy! :-D

In light of your other posting as highlighted by ArgyllGran - one thing you are advised not to do is to duplicate the same request for help on different boards.
That only leads to the same records being found by different Helpers, who then get rather... err,.... irritated. :-D
