Find Living Relatives

Hello ive deleted my old threads and starting this to lessen confusion.
Im am trying to find out more information on patrick joseph carey born 1891 in Dublin. Ive found the family on the 1901-11 cencus records. Ive been trying to find out more information on Patrick like a spouse etc for some time now but with no results, if of course he was married at all that is. I hope soebody on here maybe able to help me go forward. Thankyou

Did you have any responses to your old threads? Deleting them may not have been the best thing to do as people may now waste time looking for what has already been posted.

As you have found the family in 1901-11, can you post the details, please, to give us something to work with.

They lived at 8.2 garden Terrace. Jean on there is actually james my grandfather

There are these possible marriages in Ireland:

Patrick Joseph Carey Jul-Aug-Sep 1920 Athy

Patrick Joseph Carey Jul-Aug-Sep 1921 Belfast

Patrick Joseph Carey Jan-Feb-Mar 1933 Dublin South

and loads in England (on freebmd).

Do you have James and Anne's death certs? As the eldest son he might have been the informant and if he was, his address might be on the cert.

Have you checked 'search trees'?

Hi yes I have. I've messaged a lady who had same name an correct year but first message I sent was back in April but heard nothing back

I have Anne's certificate but can't even read name of informant unfortunately

Hi what I do know was he was born in 1891 in Dublin South to parents James Carey and Anne Cullen . I have no idea whether he married or not and wether it would have been a Dublin marriage

I have ten marriages checked out, have come to the conclusion he didn't marry, well not in Ireland anyway. Just don't know what else to try

In Dublin, with a census age of 20 in 1911 ... they were in Wood Quay which seems to be in Dublin South

there were many Irish Patrick J Careys in the US!

... but he would have been nearly 43 ... and likely that is one of the 10 Tanialou has checked out!


btw Tanialou it probably doesn't help that you show no place of birth for Patrick and James in your tree ... there are a lot of James-s and anybody searching trees would not know which one yours was :-)
