Find Living Relatives

Hoping someone can help me ....

Sylvia first came to Australia in 1950 with her parents, Thomas S. BELL (37) and Edna G. BELL (35), and her brothers Thomas W. BELL (14), James BELL (10), Robert A. BELL (10) and Ronald BELL (7).

At some point she returned to England and married before returning to Australia.

Sylvia Emma CRAVEN (nee Bell) born 1945, departed the UK for Australia by aircraft under the Assisted Passage Migration Scheme on 9 January 1966. She was accompanied by her husband, Michael CRAVEN, born 1941, and a daughter, Michelle Karen CRAVEN, born 1965.

their daughter was born in Bradford Yorkshire did they return to Australia then come back to the UK all within 6 months

The family WENT to Australia in 1966............

Could you clarify where you think they are now.............

and what have you done to try to find them?

what about all Sylvia's brothers?

Don't they know where she is?

I misread the info thought they came back in Jan 1966 not went to Australia

SO you need someone with Australia records to help

Sylvia is my birth mother Jacqueline ,
I have never met any of the family including my mother.
I found the whereabouts of one brother, Thomas, who lived in Australia, but he passed away in 2010.
I'm assuming she is still in Australia.

Did Sylvia have family still in Bradford? Is it possible she returned to England? I haven't looked into it, but there was a Sylvia E Craven listed on the Bradford 2002 electoral register.

I have no idea Gritty , but she is not on the electoral register here in Victoria, Australia. So its very possible she has returned to England

If you want me send possible addresses for Sylvia in England let me know. Have you also tried the e-mail address from this? (It was posted 2005, so may no longer be valid):

I don't know a lot about e-mail- however, ntlworld strikes me as a more British, rather than Australian, address- although I may be wrong?

The same Sylvia is on the ER to 2014.

There is also another Sylvia E Craven who moves between Winchester and Sheffield...again with a male Craven at the addresses.

There's no way of knowing if her surname is still Craven

There are a few possibilities to explore- also a marriage of Sylvia E Craven to surname Sanders in 1987 Colchester (and would be about correct age according to electoral register).

I think all these avenues are worth the time to explore.

She could be in Australia under a different name

I had no idea she had another 3 sons !!!
Have tried the email address posted on the link from 7 March 2005 , but it is no longer active ....
What is really weird, is that I was born 7th March , this has me asking the question " Who am I really ? "

How weird that she sent that message on your birthday? and how disappointing the e-mail address is not still active. If I see anything else I'll let you know.
