wow you have been so good, I wouldn't have a clue where to look, but interesting if she went to America.

The death above parent were Thomas the 3rd Ashford and Hilda Ashford Dimling,so not the Ann/Betty that sailed.
Maybe they divorced and she came back?

But the Betty Hackett on the 1953 shipping list could still be correct- given that there is an Ann Stilgre listed at the address she gave.

OK, she wasn't living there in 1956 so could be. The birth on the shipping and death record you found still makes it possible that she gave birth in 1942- so worth exploring.

Ann Betty was in the WAAF and her father was the merchant tailor, its my sister who found out about herself and this far ( Ann L).
Last known address of Ann Betty was 111 Nantwich Rd Crewe. Not sre how my sister got hold of all this info.
She does have her birth cert with name and mothers name and then address of 10 Hillside Dr Crewe.
