Jacqueline, I haven't found anything to definitely connect this family to my Gran. I did find a marriage for Eliza Preston and Henry Sawyer. Sawyer was one of Eliza's aliases. Her father on the marriage cert is William Preston, green grocer. Eliza and Henry had a child Rachel b. 1888 eventually deserted in the workhouses. Eliza, the mother, |

I am hoping to find a living relative, my Grandmother, Eliza Preston was taken from her mother in Charing Cross Rd in London in 1898, and sent to Barnardo Homes and then sent to Canada. She never saw her mother after 1898. |
