As he seems to have lived and died in Blackpool there are two possible marriages in 1948 |

Thanks for all the helpful information, I have been contacted by a lady (my new cousin) who has straightened out my family tree. John A Campbell/Kenn and his sister Ethel Barbara Campbell/Kenn actually have a different father - Basil Kenn. But I have gained two more aunties and one uncle - Lorna, Peggy and Colin Eastwood Campbell from James Colin Campbell's first marriage to Ethel Eastwood. Still haven't found a birth for Colin Eastwood Campbell 1924-2002 and others have been looking as well. Colin Eastwood Campbell was the man that came looking for his father and half sister (my mother) and it was in the late 1940s. |

Thank you, yes, I should have given you more information. All I have is the information that Fairthorn has given. I do have a copy of the marriage certificate because I was interested to see if my grandfather James Colin Campbell had been married before that but he wasn't. I still don't know what the "A" stands for in John A Campbell. I thought that someone in his family may be researching as well and recognise him. |

John A Campbell was born in 1927, his mother was Ethel Eastwood and father James Colin Campbell. James Colin Campbell was my mother's father from his second marriage. So he would have been 34 in 1961 and 88 now. I know chances are slim. |

Possible living in Yorkshire. He was my mother's half brother. She didn't know he existed until he called in 1961 but they couldn't meet because my family was just getting on a plane to go and live in New Zealand. |
