As this board is for looking for LIVING relatives, look for additional Brooks/Owen children on http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ and subsequent marriages and deaths for all of them. The informant on the death Certs could be a living relative.

thanks for your help this John was my great granddad, I believe he only had two sons john and Frederick (fred) who married ethel brooks around 1920

Where are they believe to have married? There's no obvious marriage in 1920.

If you have Fred's birth and or marriage certificate, what details are on those? This is try and find the earlier John and work forward.
