I thank you for all your help. I will go to the web sites you have mentioned and have a try at them.

I have not thought of the phone book so I will look on line to see if I can get to look at the phone books for the area.

I was born in Wales but now live in Scunthorpe.

I have lost touch with all of my Father's family.

Dennis Lonsdale is my late husband and Dennis Simpson is my late Father. It is the family of my father I am looking for. his living relatives. I have found the births of some of his siblings.

Lonsdale is my marriage name.

Tina has Dennis Lonsdale in her tree, which may account for the discrepancy in names...... worth waiting to see if Dennis A Lonsdale is who is beng looked for i think, marriage to Simpson but as likely to still be living i won't add it here.
