Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I have been looking for my twin sister who disappeared in 1973. Her married name was McKean and we are both 66 now. She has a daughter and we brought her up from the age of two.
Hope someone out there can help.

When you say 'disappeared', were the police involved in looking for her, or did she deliberately cut contact with you?

Would that be the birth in the December quarter of 1948 in Edmonton?

There are 3 McKean/Elliott births around 1971 to 1975, 2 of them being twins.

Do you know if these are all connected?

Carol Elliott (no middle initial at birth or marriage) married an Allan R McKean in 1970.

There is also a marriage for an Allan R McKean in 1975, in Cornwall, to a Carol E xxx.

Carol E and Allan R do show together on ER's in Cornwall, but unlikely to be Catherine's sister?

So which Carol has Rose or Yvonne found?

There is only one birth showing on free bmd for Allan R McKean, birthplace fitting with the 1970 marriage.

Do not know where that gets us.

The son of that proposed 1975 marriage can easily be found on facebook.

This would then lead to his Father, and possibly his Mother, who does not appear to be on facebook herself, but may be pictured on her husband's profile.

as far as i can see there is only one birth with name allan r mckean in ware hertfordshire in 1948
