I'm looking for my half siblings Michael James Guy b.1944 in Egypt to Bella & Edward Guy, last known on boat in 1959 going to Montreal & Quebec. Esme Sarah Guy b.1943 in Egypt to same parents and same details.
I would really like to know if anyone has any information of either of these two people.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
Caroline Wilson (nee Guy)

Hi Caroline.
I can't help you personally, but I suggest you edit your heading to say 'Canada and Egypt' - there might be members who can help you with info about these places, and that will catch their eye.
In the meantime, it's worth looking for matches in other members' trees - use the search box above. You can send a message if you get a match.
Have you tried the Canadian White Pages? There are a few Michael Guys in Quebec (be sure to specify provinces, as this site gives you USA too - might be worth checking this out as well though, as there are a few Michael J, Guys showing in the US).
Good luck!
Jan

the problem with passenger records to Canada (and the same for the US) is that the ship destination port is not usually the intended place of residence of the passengers
people arrived at the east coast ports and often travelled by train all the way to the west coast, or points in between
if the entire family went to Canada - mother Bella, father Guy, and children Michael and Esme - just googling might possibly find information such as the parents' obituaries
the best site to use for Canadian white pages is www.canada411.ca since as Jan says the whitepages site is a US site ... and unlike BT online for example, you can search the whole country without naming a province
... except ... I have just realized that sometime in the last year when I was not looking, the site has been 'improved' it seems ... you can no longer say you are looking for surname 'guy' and initial 'm' for example ... if you search for 'guy' you will get a hundred people named 'Jean-Guy'. Yet another site that has destroyed its search function, we know not why!
if you know Bella's birth surname and if the parents had middle names that could help in searching as well
by the way I agree with Jan, a subject line that says the names and place would be more useful for you
and ... please would you use the 'Edit' link to remove the birthdates from your post and leave only the years of birth ... the site rules are quite clear that this kind of detailed personal info is not permitted, and it probably isn't helpful to your search anyway ... someone will report your post and it will be deleted if you don't change it, but it would be nice if whoever might do that would give a newbie a chance to fix it first

UK, Outward Passenger Lists, 1890-1960 about Esme Guy Name: Esme Guy Gender: Female Departure Date: 23 Oct 1959 Port of Departure: Liverpool, England Destination Port: Montreal, Canada Ship Name: Empress Of England Search Ship Database: Search the 'Empress Of England' in the 'Passenger Ships and Images' database Shipping line: Canadian Pacific Railway
The Esme Guy (same dob as you quote) was listed with Lea Ermou and Peter Jaffe (born 1953) whose names have been crossed out. The last place of residence for all 3 was 20 Fairmile Ave, Streatham, London.
England is listed as Esme’s intended country of permanent residence implying that she was only visiting N America – contracted to disembark in Montreal
No other Guys appear to be travelling in the same Class

findmypast also shows Michael travelling to Montreal in 1959 ... I don't subscribe for details
but no Bella or Edward (anytime 1950 to 1960, the cutoff year)
is it possible that the children travelled from England because they had been at school or visiting, and the parents travelled from Egypt if they went to Canada too?
any more info you have could help

Have you any further details about their parents please, for instance their father's occupation?
As JoonieCloonie has suggested, he might have been posted to Canada and they were visiting.

Thank you to all those people who have kindly replied to my post. I am new to this site so not sure how it works. I have taken your advice and changed the header and put just the birth years as suggested. Thank you. I have all these people on my family tree with Ancestry as I have been researching for a few years. All the information that you have all given me I already know - except for where they went!! Mothers maiden name was Bella Tenenbaum and she married Edward Thomas Guy in 1937 in Egypt. I am younger than both Michael & Esme and I knew my father asi was living with him until his death. I am really at a loss as to know where to look for my half siblings once they arrived in Canada. They did not travel with their mother although they all moved to UK sometime between 1944-1950's.
If there is anyone who knows where I can look to see where they went in Canada would be really helpful! I have hit the dreaded brick wall!
Thanks Caroline
