Without knowing the relationship to Nancy, one should perhaps wait until he has a chance to respond. Nancy might have been a neighbour, or an 'old flame' :-)

Use http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl to search for Bath/Gowers children - it would seem that twins were born in 1957
