Hi, I am wondering if anyone recognises the name Alfred E Pittock born I think in Suffolk 1903 - married Gladys Mills in 1937. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for your messages, Rose - how do I see the passenger list and could you advise how I trace him in New Jersey as I haven't a clue. I have found out that he lived in Asbury Park and it seems didn't have any other relationships on record.

You probably need to ask if anyone with a worldwide subscription to either Ancestry or Findmypast could look up census records in America for you. I'm not sure myself what is available.

The last USA Census was in 1940 so if he arrived in 1946 he would not be on it.

I suggest that you go to the site 411.com which is a site giving USA telephone numbers & addresses.

The name Pittock is a fairly uncommon name.

Key in the name "Pittock & the place "New York" & see what comes up.
