I am looking for my birth father, a Mr John MacKinnon. He said he was from the Isle of Skye but my step father says he was from the Scunthorpe area (There was bad blood between the two so I don't know how accurate this information is). He would have been born in the 1930's - 1940's although that is a guesstimate (My mum was born in the 40's so I based it on that). He was in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England in the early to mid 1970's, which is where he met my mother. |

Is he actually named on your birth cert? |

He isn't named on my birth certificate as he was not married to my mother. My mother's husband was stationed in Toronto, Canada at the time so he is not my father. |

The reason for asking about his name on your cert was mainly to try to verify the spelling, as the name could also be Mckinnon. |
