so re reading page one Thomas Henry Cooper born 1913 died in 1936 was his brother not his father .

seems his brother Bernard was born in 1915 not d day 1944!! .have you followed him through ?

so where did the family live after the edinburgh wedding .


is Bernard his brother born 20 years apart ?

if his mum was born in 1885 surely she would be a bit too old to be having a child in the 1940,s

D day was the 6th June 1944!!

If he was known as 'Paddy', that would seem to bear out reggie's line of thought, and the names Michael Derry are distinctly irish

If he married/died in Scotland, you will have to get credits for Scotlands people website and search on there

My friend has confirmed that this is the right birth cert for her Dad. She has been looking for him for a long time now.

The names given to you by your friend are NOT the man born in Preston.

As I said before, his names sound IRISH

When and where was your friend born? Is her father named on her birth cert?

The one born in 1924 did not have the middle names of Michael Derry as mentioned in Reggie's post at 13.49.....where was he born? where was he last known to be living please?

He may still be alive or died since 2007

The person who posted on ancestry said he married in Scotland....is that where he lived? you may need to look on scotlands people which is a pay to view site
