Thankyou Shirley. Now i have been advised how to do it, i will do it that way. Thank u for your help, i appreciate it. Jax, unfortunately i am very aware that this is a long shot and am under absolutely no illusions that anything i put on here may not result in anything. However, at least i can say ive tried and am trying.

I think people are under the impression that this board/site is viewed by thousands of people daily, which unfortunately is not the case.

The only way anyone is going to come across this thread is if they are actively looking for this name by googling (it may come up) or searching in the name search on here.

Yes one day you may get a reply from someone who knows him.....but it could be years rather than days

I deleted it because I had been given more information and wanted to include all that I had found out in the hope that the extra bits of infomation may jog someones memory. As i am new to this and obviously not as experienced as yourself, I didnt see this as a problem and it was certainly not done to cause annoyance or antagonise. At the end of the day, all I am trying to do is find my grandfather and if i get more info, I will do the same again

WHY have you deleted your original thread?

You have been given as much help as is available.

Deleting and re-posting won't make any difference to the info which can be found.

And by so doing you are antagonising the very people on whose help you are depending

I am looking for my grandad Harold F Price, he was born in Skipton in 1937 and his parents were Harry Price and Grace Cecillia Price (formerly Hilton) He attended Knaresborough Castle Boys School and was in the National Service between 1957 + 1959 (Royal Engineers Artillery I think) and I think he was posted in Cyprus for a while. He used to own a coach company called Pullmans? He lived in Harrogate for a while, has friends in Ilkely but I think he may live abroad now as he did own a place in France (not sure where though) He is well travelled so is very difficult to track down. He had one brother, Donald who I believe was killed in a motor accident. He married my grandmother, Joan E Newby in Sept 1955 and they had my mother (Eunice Ann Blythe nee Price) in 1956. He divorced my grandmother and married Gertrude Walley in June 1962 but I believe they are divorced also. Any help anyone can offer me would be grately appreciated as it is important I find him. Thank you
