I am still searching for a cousin of mine born around 1935. His father was Stephen (or Steven) and his mother Elizabeth Maud Mitchell. Originally lived in Honor Oak, Forest Hill, London back in the early 50s.
Once had a possible 'siting' in Kent.

Can anyone help, please?

there was indeed a marriage in Kent between the two people shown on that electoral roll listing

this could possibly be his wife's death (possibly her birth was registered under the middle name)

Alan if you want to know for sure you would have to order that death certificate to see what her name was at birth and whether her husband is named on it

Forgot to add the detail. I have found some basics. This suggests that he waas born in June of 1935.

many people choose not to post birth registration or other details of possibly living individuals ... that info had already been posted earlier anyway

you may be interested --

in fact his birth was registered in the 'June quarter', or as Reggie said, registered in 'AMJ 1935' (which yes, someone new to this might well not understand)

the June quarter covers all registrations in April, May and June

the births themselves could have happened as early as mid-February, since 6 weeks were allowed to complete the registration

so all we know is that his birth was registered sometime in those three months, and so he was born sometime from mid-February to June 30 of that year


the exact birth date can only be got from the certificate

it can be useful to know because after 1969, birth dates are shown in the deaths index, so a death can more easily be connected with a particular birth

however, the deaths index (at Ancestry) goes only up to 2007

if someone died after that, the info will not yet be available
