Might be worth putting an advert in the local paper - I used to live a few hundred miles away from the Gold Coast, but worth a go - or any local family history groups in the area, as they will have notice boards etc.

Hi Susan ... the QLD State Library (on-line) has an 'Ask Us' librarian service. They will check electoral rolls -past & present -especially with clues ..full names/approx dates etc.

Try http://www.whitepages.com.au/ which is an online phone book - there is a B Stock listed in Merrimac QLD

Have you looked on Facebook? If Samuel was born 1991, he is more than likely to have a page on there. Try other social networking sites as well.
