Find Living Relatives

I am trying to trace the whereabouts of Brian John Wooldridge who was born in 1952 in Bristol. Brian’s family have no idea what happened to Brian since the 1970’s / 80’s and we hope that someone may be able to help?

Long shot, I know, as if he wishes not to be found, he is unlikely to be a GR member, but............................................

Do you know where he was living when last contacted by his family?

Sorry - yes, I had looked on here and found that he was on here. However, I noticed that he had not added his parents names or siblings. I wonder whether some members are on here from a sister site or something and do not realise it themselves? This is something I have found in the past.. Is this possible?!

No, the message hasn't been opened and it was in my own words.

I have found several Brian Wooldridge's in the electoral roll records. But it's very difficult to pinpoint which ones are possible matches. Especially since most don't have ages against them and none are in or near Bristol. I have the address for the Liverpool one and unfortunately, they aren't on directory enquiries either.

I was hoping that someone may know another way of searching for the right person?!

He may have been born in Bristol but thats not necessarily where he still lives.


As all else hasnt found him can only suggest you write to the ones you have found to see if any of them are him

I'm afraid the only area we know of is Bristol - it's not much at all to go on!

well he may have moved. we no longer live in London where we were both born and married .

Can only suggest again you write to the addresses of the ones that come up on the electoral rolls . You may get lucky .

It is possible though he opted out of the public rolls ,we did several years ago to try and stop junk mail etc

My dad has a tree on here with just him in it no one else.....same as when I joined in 2007 I just had myself until I became a paying member in 2010 then I added others

If he is a free member, does he get a notification of new messages and is he able to read and reply to them? This could well be the problem...

a free member does get email notifications and can reply . What they cant do is initiate contacts

I now have an update.. apparently he moved to the Nottingham area with his mother (Winifred May Wooldridge, later Winifred May Attewell, nee Winifred May Peacock) around 1964 when he was about 12 years old. Unfortunately, I can't find anything there either!

Have you checked who registered his mothers death in Nottingham 2004? Or looked for Winifred on 192.com?

Looks like she was living alone in Nottingham on 2002-4 ERs, maybe someone with FMP could look up the address?

Yes - nothing on the mother's death certificate. Name of informant was Annette Marie Noonan of Lawrence House, Talbot Street, Nottingham and qualification was 'Causing the body to be cremated'. The address appears to be a council address and searching for Ms Noonan shows that she was a Superintendent.

The address showing for 2002-2004 was her last address on the death certificate.

Looks like Mr Attewell was married before. Have you searched for his family?
