Hi, wasn't sure when reading earlier response where Facebook was mentioned and 'he' whether it referred to ex husband or possibly her son. It was so long ago I received a fleeting visit I cannot remember whether children were male/female or female/female! (I saw the name Sharon when I looked on Ancestry as a possible child).

There is a Wiseman/Wiseman birth in Portsmouth in 1992. He is on facebook and has a Sharon Wiseman as a friend.
Is this coincidence, or the 'son' referred to above?

Hi Rose, thank you for information. Although Janet visited me with husband and children from her first marriage (Wiseman), in mid or late 70's, I cannot remember the children's names. This is why I asked about the eldest first name. Perhaps I will be able to locate with him on Facebook. I eventually traced another person recently, only to find she died last year.

Have you tried looking for her children from the Wiseman marriage?

Passenger listing was probably when they sailed to Singapore in 1954, returned to UK about 1956 maybe 1957.

Just to add there is a passenger listing for her and her mother in 1954 giving the address you have mentioned....so the parents are correct

As it was wartime maybe that was why she wasn't born in portsmouth

Looks like her mothers death....maybe she registered it
