Yes I have already sent a message to the one that came up when I typed the name in.
I took names off but can not tell others what to do.
You must of done something different but will wait for your links and see.

Tina I just don't know why you don't see what I see, it is incomprehensible to me.
I have been avoiding putting the people's names here because other people don't like being talked about either ...
I am going to send you two direct links to send private messages
There are two trees with the person in them, both belonging to that person.
people seem to do this, they have different accounts here with a tree for each one, for all kinds of reasons
the thing is that one may be more recent and have a more recent email address for it
The thing not to do is send a message saying 'please show me your tree'.
people do not just show their family trees to anyone who asks, what you want to do is explain why you are writing and say you hope to get in touch, not that you want to see their family tree
So all you have to do is use the links I send you, you will see what the name is when you open them, you will have a preaddressed form for sending a message.
Introducing yourself and saying why you are writing and how you think you are related and that you hope to be in touch, is the thing to do ...

Go to SEARCH at the top right hand of this page, hover your mouse and then select SEARCH ALL MEMBER TREES.
On the form that appears fill in the details of the person you are looking for click on search and a list of people on GR trees will appear. Select the one you think is the person you are looking for, go the right hand side of the name and click the button to send a message and make contact.

I do not know how to trace that is why I am appealing for help. I have had few people reply to help but I am not getting how to find people. I have tried and sent a message to a poss sibling but I keep getting told her family tree has my family on but I can not get to view the family tree if I am not getting a reply.I need their permission, this is why I can not see what you are. And I can only see One Louisa not two so I do not know how others do it?
I have not refused to try I am writing to last know wife this week. It is hard enough my aunt wants nothing to do with me, that is hurtful.
I am not a well person so really need help.
Do not judge me harshly I am appealing for help for something I am just learning to do with your help and patience.
I appreciate all the support you are all giving me. But can not know what iv not been taught or find.
Regards and Thanks to you all

Tina ................
one of the siblings has their own name in their tree but does not have the other sibling in their tree
that sibling has two accounts and two trees with the same info in
it is the same person, just two different accounts, which is not unusual
just click on the find out more button beside the person's name to send a message
send a message to both accounts just in case they have different email addresses on them, so if one email address is old the other might still be good
when you send someone a private message, they get a message from genesreunited in their email to tell them they have received a message here ......... if their email address in their account here is still correct
if you have found that, it is all you need, to try to make contact, so I don't understand what the problem is !!

I have just realised what Tina was asking about ... patchem posted the results of a tree search but it wasn't clear to Tina what that was. And when Tina told me she had been given a name and didn't know how to send a message, I didn't know what that meant.
Tina, tree searches have been explained. Up at the top, put your mouse on Search and click Search all member trees. Search for the names of your possible half siblings with the date of birth. It seems that one of them has a tree here with their own name in it.
Then you just do as I advised by private message: click Find out More beside the name and send a message.
It looks like that person has two separate trees (people might abandon one and start another, or forget their password, etc. ... you can have more than one free account) so I would send the same message to both accounts. It's also possible that one account has an old email address but the other might have a current one.
Hopefully if someone has joined here and has a tree here it means they are open to hearing from family.

From the GRO website:
'If you are going to be doing family history research, you will find the GRO Indexes an important resource. A complete set of GRO Indexes are available to view in microfiche format at:
The Library of Birmingham Bridgend Local and Family History Centre City of Westminster Archives Centre Manchester Central Library (from Spring 2014) Newcastle City Library Plymouth Central Library and The British Library'
So, if you live within reasonable distance of one of these, phone them to see that they do indeed allow access and to what year they run.

I have just looked back at this thread after a long absence being busy over the holiday :-)
I had given Tina all this information some time ago, e.g. her grandmother's remarriage, etc, giving it privately because that always seems more appropriate to me when we are talking even about the parents of living people. I told you about Olive's death in the very first message I sent you Tina.
I have searched out Tina's aunts' marriages and remarriages and children and spent some hours looking for them all on line after one aunt responded negatively. I would not have put the names of possible half-siblings here as they may have no idea about the family situation and it is unfair to put their names on the internet in this context Tina. But in any event I have looked for them extensively including by the surname that could have been their stepfather's after a possible remarriage for their mother.
I have located a means of contacting a son of one of the aunts via his place of work after finding an article on line about his partner that suggests she would be very sympathetic to Tina's quest, but Tina is reluctant to try it.
I have just been replying to questions from Tina about how to contact members. I knew of no way to find a member other than from a message on a discussion board or from a tree search and in both those cases you send a message by clicking on the right button.
Tina did some kind of member search that I know nothing about and found a member's name but does not know how to contact. I explained how to do that by clicking on someone else's contact button and substituting the member number in the url (I tried that with other examples and it works) but if someone knows what kind of search she did and how to make contact that way then maybe they can explain it for Tina.

Both Louisa and Andrew have middle names - have you been given these?
There is also a birth in 1988 in Bristol, do you know if she is related.
I cannot see a marriage for either of the first 2, and I cannot see Louisa on 192.com. There are lots of Andrew Crosses. Have you got any further information about their Mother?
I cannot see Louisa on facebook.
However, there are 2 Louisa Cross, 1978, Exeter, who are members on here. Try and contact them for more information.

So update...... no luck with eldest one of sisters and been told Trevor is no longer here....
If anyone can find the children of younger sisters I would be eternally grateful and make a sickish woman dream come true while I still can manage it.

Sorry, I have not followed all the in's and out's, but was assuming that once you got in touch with Pamela a lot of information would follow.
Also, did locator send the correct address for Trevor, so have you made contact that way?
Where did the name Galloway come from?
Thank-you
