In 1912 Thomas Henry Scott, his wife Elizabeth Helen nee Porter and infant son Thomas Scott arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia aboard the SS Belgic.. They had travelled first to UK from the Falkland Islands
Elizabeth had been born in the Falklands in February 1889, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Porter , sister to Alfred, Mary Ann, Rose, George, Arthur, Alice, Howard, Thomas , Charles, Florence and Albert.
Florence Porter was also went with Thomas and Elizabeth to Australia. Dont know if they stayed in the Fremantle area or not but no doubt there are descendants of them somewhere and would be very grateful if anyone has any information on either Thomas and Elizabeth and their son Thomas (born June 1911 in Falklands) or Florence Porter born October 1895 also in the Falkland Islands.

Hi Derek

'Oz burials' -Geraldton Cemetery -has: Thomas Henry Scott d 7/11/1950 age 67 and Elizabeth Helen Scott d 21/4/1984 age 95yrs (buried together).
The 'West Australian State Library' (on-line) has an 'Ask a Librarian' service ...they may have (Geraldton) (newspaper) death notices showing family names etc. They do have electoral rolls (past & present) -though difficult tracing common names i.e.Thomas Scott (Jnr).

Thats them. A big thank you for that. Elizabeth certainly lived to a good age. Have just looked up Geraldton. Will have a look at the Ask a Librarian and see what else l can find. Again thank you for your help ,much appreciated

Daughter Esther B SCOTT was born in Geraldton in 1919 (reg 74).

Jack was born in 1909 in Perth (reg 129).
