Hi, I worked with a William "Bill" Hook in the mid to late 60's. He was a bricklayer by trade and I believe he lived at Seaford, Sussex. He would have probably been in his late 50's at that time, |

I have looked into the Henry Charles Hook who married Miriam Ash , and I think it is he. So I am going to get a copy of their marriage cert to find his parents. If its the right Henry, then my cousins I believe could be,. Henry b1931, Ernest M 1932, both b. Ticehurst. Ivy j.1935 Marylebone, Amelia R 1936 Hendon and Mary C 1940.Hemel Hempstead. |

I now have the birth cert: for Charles Henry Hook aka Harry 08.11.1902 father George Hook mother Philadelphia Wood. so he is my uncle. now the marriage cert is Henry Charles Hook to Miriam Ash 14.06.1927 Willesden Middlesex, and father George Hook, and Miriam's father Ernest Ash (deceased).I have checked and double checked and looked up children for Henry and Miriam, and they seem to have been born in several places including Sussex and Hemel Hempstead, mothers name Ash, and I haven't found any other Charles/Henry Hook so I am taking it, that they are one and the same man. |
