Do you have your parent's marriage certificate? That should give you his age at the time of marriage so you can work out roughly when he was born. If you don't have it this is the reference to buy it from the GRO:- |

I'm trying to trace my father.he was in the kings own regiment in the 60s.he was posted to british Guiana where he met my mother and they married in 1966.i was born in dartford Kent in 1968.my parents divorced and I returned to Guyana.as I don't know his date of birth it's very difficult to find any trace of him. |
