In that case you will need to use Scotlandspeople to find his birth which is a pay to view site

aunts and uncles have all passed which is making it harder as there id noone to give much info from back then, i know his name as he was on the their baby who died bith certificate. i believe he was born in scotland

Or could he have been a Canadian/American serviceman who went back home?

I think you need to get both marriage certificates if you want to find out about her.
Thomas Sheridan could still be alive, or died recently - or was it his death that resulted in the marriage to your grandfather?
Have you talked to your aunts/uncles for information about Violet?
Do you know if he could have been from Scotland, as we cannot see an obvious birth in England/Wales for him under Thomas C?

hi again, no i haven't a marriage certificate but that is the marriage, i don't believe that is his death as his name was thomas colin sheridan

What other info do you hope for?

i'm looking for anyone who may have any information about my nan catherine violet florence although she mainly used violet, she was born a podger but married in 1946 to a man called thomas sheridan, i know they had a baby and lived in leyton she then went on to marry my grandad albert george hunt and had 3 daughters.
