Anyone related to the Hamers, who ran the post office in Hockley Heath during the 20's,30's,40's+, I have a collection of beautiful family photographs of unknown Hamer family members, babies, children, Weddings and Army service that need a home with the relatives of those pictured.

Have you used the 'Search All Trees' function under the 'Search' button at the top of the page? Look for all the people you know of to see if they are listed on other peoples trees. The Tree owners may be relatives.

I have just started my tree and luckily have lots of DOB info etc from a recent will.

I think I have found some Hamers and have requested access to a number of trees, hopefully someone will reply as the person who bought me to GR posted last in 2003 asking for info about my Great Grandfather :(

Err....if you only said 'please may I see your tree' you may not get many replies. It's best to explain who you think you have in common and the reason for contacting the tree owner. If they think that there is something that you can help them with or share, they are more likely to reply.

There are unfortunately a number of dormant accounts on GR. You can check to see if your message has been read by looking in your 'Sent' box. An envelope icon indicates that they haven't been accessed.

If you get no further with identifying the photos, come back to this thread and we'll see what we can do to find living relatives based on the names you have.
