Hi Jax. Thank you for responding. You are correct. The same Y-DNA male markers are transferred from father to son and illigitamate children and girls sadly end the line. Were your grandfathers parents or ancestors Orchards from Yate/ OldSodbury? |

I am trying to make contact with living males with surname ORCHARD whose ancestors were from Yate and Old Sodbury. I am almost certain my Great-Grandfather James Orchard is the James Orchard baptised 27 March 1803, Old Sodsbury son of James Orchard 1763 Yate/1851 Old Sodbury and Hannah Carter. |
