Thanks to all for suggestions.
I have man to trace a descendant of Neil Martin & found that his sister had passed away unmarried.

Thank you Reggie & Gwyn

I am aware of the costs of credits for Scotland's People as that is where my information came from.
My late Grandfather & his wife adopted a child in 1936.
Members of my family were aware that this child was adopted but that there was a family connection within the adoption.
This child passed away in 2001 under his adopted name.
I have managed to obtain a copy of the child's original birth certificate as well as his adoption certificate & I now know that Neil Mcleod Martin was the child's biological father.
Neil was not married to the child's mother.
Neil Martin married twice but not to the mother of the child adopted by my late Grandfather & his wife.
I have not dismissed the three people who have a Margaret Martin listed in their trees born in Glasgow in 1903.
Probably any descendants of either Neil or his sister Margaret Martin have no knowledge of this child who was sired by Neil.
Naturally I am being very careful about how I go about this.

Why not get in touch and find out rather than dismissing them out of hand?

If you want to look for info , you'll need to purchase credits for Scotlands people - £7.00 for 30

Neil's death may have been registered by a descendant...........get the cert for details

Maybe they haven't added their whole tree.

I have huge gaps in my online posted tree - just enough to help me pick up surname links.
I do watch for names that might link in, but prefer to have my information stored at home.

It might be worth a quick message or you'll never know whether or not it's the same Margaret...........

Thanks Gwyn,

I had noticed them but they do not have the other family members that I have listed in their trees so I don't think it is the same Margaret.

There are members who possibly have a match on their trees for Margaret.

If you go to SEARCH tab...top right and search names on their trees, you can click on their name to make contact and hopefully share information.

I am trying to find any descendants of Neil Mcleod Martin (Born in Glasgow 1898) & his sister Margaret Grandison Martin (Born in Glasgow 1903)
Their parents were John Martin & Annie Mcleod.
Neil died in Glasgow in 1980 & had married twice during his lifetime.
Apart from a birth for his sister in 1903 I have been unable to find out any more information.
I have only recently found out about their existence.
Neil & his sister Margaret would have been a Great Uncle & Great Aunt to me.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards,

Dougie
