Children from BROADLANDS AVE Enfield 1940's

I am hoping it is OK to post this on here, even though these people aren't actual relatives.
I found a picture of my mum when she was about 3 years old (C1942), taken in the garden of her home on Broadlands Ave, Enfield. She is having a tea party with 2 other girls. When I asked her about the photo she told me she had tried to find her childhood friends when she visited England but couldn't.
One of the girls is JUNE GOULD, who lived next door at no.142.
The other girl is possibly JUNE BLACKMORE, who would have lived at no.160 or thereabouts.
BRIAN and BARRY BRIDGELAND lived at no.130 or 132, and REGGIE GOODEW (not sure of the spelling) also lived nearby.
I am hoping that these names might attract attention, and if anyone had parents or relatives that lived on Broadlands Ave during the 1940's to please contact me.
Thankyou

Wendy

Another girl from Broadlands Ave was Shirley Taylor. She was no relation to mum (Jeanette Taylor). Mum said that she looked like Shirley Temple!

Wendy, just a pointer - I think the spellings might be out, and the brothers are Brian and Barrie Bridgland (no e).
There is a Barrie Bridgland on 192.com.

Are Brian, Barry and Reggie also born around 1939?

There are 2 June Blackmores, 1937 Fulham or 1938 Greenwich.

Added:
Reggie?
Reginald G Goodhew
Mother's Maiden Surname: Smith
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1936
Registration district: Edmonton
Inferred County: Hertfordshire

He is showing on 192.com for 2002.

Use Friends reunited.................it has a street address section

And Goodhew is probably more likely

Try www.192.com for the males

I don't know about the spelling, mum just told me the names over the phone. She is not 100% sure about June Blackmore's name, but said it sounded close...sorry.
Jan do you know of the Bridgland brothers?
Mum said that Reggie would have been a year or 2 older, but they went to school together. They would all have been born around 1939, some maybe a year or so earlier, and later.

Wendy Report 23 Mar 2013 13:36

Oh that sounds hopeful for Reggie. Mum said she had no idea how it was spelt, only that she knew how it sounded, so I took a guess.
Where is Edmonton in relation to Enfield please

ErikaH Report 23 Mar 2013 13:36

No-one helping on this thread knows any of the people being sought. Just using the free records to search for info

Reginald Goodhew was on 192 in 2002.......nothing since. Probably elected not to be on the public ER

Enfield and Edmonton swap around for registration districts depending on the year.

Wendy

Wendy Report 23 Mar 2013 13:56

Ty Patch. So Someone registered in Edmonton could well have been in Enfield. That could well be Reggie then. What does inferred county Hert mean please?

patchem

patchem Report 23 Mar 2013 15:08

Inferred means that it is not specified as being in Hertfordshire, but it can be assumed as such. It is their way of writing the information for registration purposes.

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 23 Mar 2013 15:16

If you look at the birth record on freebmd...............THEN click on the reg'n district, you'll get full info about what it covered

Wendy

Wendy Report 23 Mar 2013 15:27

TY. I have found 1 of the names in a tree and have sent a message, as well as another name mum remembered later.

patchem

patchem Report 23 Mar 2013 15:38

June Blackmore from Greenwich is in several people's trees, contact them all.

Unfortunately lots of people are no longer active members of genes, or may have changed their email address, so do not be too disappointed if not everyone replies.

Oh Reggie just noticed your comment as re: 'look on Google maps, Edmonton reg. covered a far larger area then Edmonton that you will see on Google maps, it covered as far as Turnford & Wormley in Broxbourne Herts, think if you look for those on Google maps you will see it is far further than Enfield that was then in Middlesex...

Hope this helps you in future research...
