Franziska was married previously but she definately went by the surname Hager (which is her adopted name). I have just spoken to a previous employer of hers that confirms she was definately in the Prosepine/Bowen area in 2007. I think she has very strong ties in QLD. Thankyou

You can ask the adoption authorities, in the State of adoption, to pass on a letter to her. The sister can also apply for identifying information which may include a married name.

I literally have all the information but unable to find her. This is a copy of what I palced in the local & national papers: Searching for my cousin Franziska Bernadette Hager b. 14th September 1959 (birth name Teresa) also know as Fran. Adoptive parents Anton & Josefine Hager (deceased) Birth mother ElFriede Fruzinski. Has a sister you have been searching for named Therese b. 25th March 1961 (birth name Eleonore) In 2006 Franziska tried to contact her sister but at the time there was a block, which has since been removed. Franziska married Mark george Williams 1982 and had a son who tragically passed away. We are desperate for any information on Franziska. Franziska was known to have lived at 15 Melia Close, Forest gardens, Mount Sheridan, Cairns which she sold in 2006. A Business Profile registry was lodged by Franziska as a Individual/Sole Trader until 2008 and had a registered postcode of 4660. I have also found a contact that said she was selling units at Port Douglas and was looking to travel searching for work in the Porsepine/Bowen or Airlie Beach area. Discovered she had a partner named Frank Booth but is single now and that is may have been possible she had 2 sons (one was disabled) As you can see a lot of information but she is so hard to find - not sure where to go now. If the property history is correct the house has not sold again since 2006. Wonder if it is worth contacting the owners to see if they have any information +/- fowarding address for Franziska... I know it is a extremely long shot but may be worth trying. They should at least know which real estate they went through and maybe they will foward a letter for you. Would ring them first of course because they may have archived the information.

Might be worth using an 'ask a libarian service' to find out what was written and if there are any obituaries that may name family/potential contacts.It may also tell you where he is buried. You may then be able to find out whom paid for the plot/picked up the ashes etc.

If you haven't already it would be worth looking up the electrol rolls. The State Library should hold all rolls , excluding current ones. Franziska born 1959 should appear from 1980 onwards. and assuming she had children in the 1980s, they may appear at home with her from about 1990 onwards. If you can get the childrens names then it will give you another avenue to follow.

I am under the impression that you can walk into any electrol office and look up current electrol rolls for all States on the computer ( I am assuming that you are based in Australia)

Thankyou Aussietrish - I was aware of the death notice, however I never requested any information until today. Because I was aware Franziska had moved on to QLD. Interestingly I was also aware that in 1982 she lived 150 metres away from me in NSW and was married in the same catholic church our family attended. Small World in some ways - so large in others. I have just found out she sold her property in Heaps Street, Avenell Heights QLD 4670 last year and I also have the conveyancer's number who I have contacted - They are going to try and pass on my details - I will let you know how I go with this. I received a copy of the memorial notice for her father - no new clues at all there, other than she listed her name as Fran & not Franziska.
I have notified every local paper in the NT area so I am hoping they might come across it - or someone who knows them.
Apparently they did not have a mobile phone number when they left QLD - And I thought I was the only other person who did not have a mobile phone (I hate them) Sadly this has not worked in my favour this time.
I have done a whote pages check - nothing.
I contacted every F.Booth & Hager in the QLD with no success and there are no Hager's listed in NT.
I am looking at contacting NT police to see if I can get any help there.
