	There is not an obvious birth for a Michael Hollis in Gt Yarmouth in 1950. Are you sure he was registered under Hollis - were his parents married at the time? There is a birth for a Christopher, in Yarmouth in 1950, however he appears to have an older brother and sister. Could you say what your father's name is? Thanks

	Barbara, the first thing you would need to do is establish his birth name. His birth should be on Freebmd: http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl If you are sure he was adopted you could add your name to the adoption contact register. Do you know his mother's name? Don't put on here obviously! Jan

He was adopted into his mothers family living somewhere in the north of England.I have often wondered if he was curious about his past or wanted to find his dad (my dad).
