Hi Josie.
There are a few things I suggest you do.

1. Check for matches with other members using 'search all trees' (in search box above;
2. Look for births, marriages and deaths on Freebmd to help with finding names to search for:
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/
3. Check out BT online, Facebook and 192.com to see if you can find anyone.

Freebmd goes up to about 1955 or so, if you need later lookups several of us on here can assist.

I am looking for relatives all lived in the Manchester area.children of Robert Cherry and Marion Horne Luke Their 2 daughters were Helen Pirrett Cherry born 1920 in Glasgow changed her surname by deed poll to Birley in 1947 married Ronald S Colbourne in 1955 in Bucklow Cheshire one son I think, Ronald Colbourne born same place 1956.
Other daughter was Elizabeth Cherry born Salford 1922 married Eric Price in Manchester 1942 not sure if any family but i'm sure my mother said she'd had cousins in Manchester area Any help greatly appreciated
