Looking for relative in California - occupation Attorney at Law.
His GREAT grandparents surname LEDGARD emigrated in 1905 -
Super Margee traced all emigration details for me with names of next generation:
FRANK ALBERT EDWARD LEDGARD
FLORENCE (or FLORA) M. STOPKER
WALTER W. LEDGARD
Either could be his/grandparents surname for my missing relative.
Any help would be appreciated but not expecting great things.

Did you delete your previous thread? The info there might have helped people to help you.

California death records site has a Jacquelin Henrietta Ludwig (1926- 1981) whose father's last name was Stoepker and mother's maiden name Ledgard but I can't check your previous thread to see what was found there.

There's also a Florence Hartwig (died 1941) whose father's last name was Jaeques and mother's maiden name Ledgard.

Also Harold Popplewell (1905-1991) whose mother's maiden name was Ledgard.

Deleting the other thread was not a good move because all the names and dates have been lost. What's the name of the person you are trying to find?

Have you seen this?

Hi Margee -
Many thanks for expertise - got more than I expected. I have now something to follow up.
Didn't deliberately delete previous message but fortunately kept written note of children: Frank A.E, Florence M (or Flora M) married to Stopker and Walter W. Ledgard. And kept note of addresses in Passaic, New Jersey and San Diego, Ca.
Now I'll chase next generation or two.
Thanks once again. JUNE

June, it's virtually impossible to delete a thread accidentally. When you click on "Delete" you get a message asking if you're sure you want to delete and it explains that by deleting the first post on a thread it deletes the whole thread. You then have to click OK.

I don't see how you could say you didn't deliberately delete.
