Hi
I have seen a post on here that I am more than 95% certain is my half brother I replied to his post and sent a private msg but I have no reply the envelope is green so I assume it hasn't been read yet he posted it in April so his membership may have ran out..
Is there anyway I could get a email address or anything? I don't have much info on him at all so I really am stuck :-(
I be more than great full for any help thank you.

Even if his membership has run out, if his email address remains the same he will be notified of your private msg. How long since you tried to contact him?

It's been about 2 weeks which I know is not long but I'm very excited I have been wondering about him and his sister for years I'm not a very patient girl lol and keep checking everyday for a reply :-( just wondered if there was any other way to make contact...
Thanks for the reply at least I know that when he finally checks his emails he will know :-)

Have you tried to find him on facebook or 192.com?
Have you looked to see if he is in anyone else's tree on here?

Obviously I do not know his name or age, to know how sensible these suggestions would be.

I only know his name and i know hes in his 30's but thats it i have gone on 192 and got an adress but theres no house number so will have to get credits to view the full info but im not even sure if its the correct person and theres millions of people with the same name on facebook so wouldnt know where to start xx

My understanding is that IF his subscription to GRU has expired then he cannot reply to your mail - others may confirm/deny this.

Why not set up say, a Hotmail addy, which you can delete at any time and send him another E via this site and incl the temp Hotmail addy in it and ask him to reply to your temp Hotmail addy. Might work, tho I'm awaiting replies from different people to mails I sent out months ago

Ronald you do not need a subscription to reply to messages...you only need one to initiate them

Genes have over 13 million members some have died some changed email address's but There are probably more free members than there are paying ones

From the T&C's found at the bottom of the screen

Free Members may:

(a) use the free facilities available on the Genes Reunited Service to add all or part of their family tree;
(b) search for individuals using criteria specified by the Genes Reunited Service;
(c) receive email messages sent by Standard and Gold Members. These will be sent to your registered email address and can be viewed in the Message Centre on the Genes Reunited Service.
(ii) Non-Core Service Use and Benefits for Free Members.
