Hi,

I'm looking for an Edward A Mayo who was born in Ilford, Essex, England in 1942 to a Mary Elsie Mayo (formerly Gibbs) and an Edward Charles Mayo who died in WW2.

Mary and Edward may have gone to Canada (or somewhere else) post WW2. Please if anyone knows who this is, please get in touch. I have information about his fathers family and a picture of him as well.

ps. I am the grand daughter of Edward Charles Mayo's nephew Benjamin James Mayo.

There is an Illman /Gibbs birth in Ilford in 1952 (No marriage for those two names)

But there is also an Illman/Mayo birth also in Ilford in 1955

There is also a marriage for Edward A Mayo in Redbridge in 1966 and him and his wife are listed on 192.com up until 2002 together

Maybe they have now retired abroad?

Google his name you will find that he was a director of quite a few companies

Thanks for looking into this. Mary and Edward married in 1940 and Edward was killed in battle in 1944.

Mary's maiden name was Gibbs - have not seen an illman anywhere.

The marriage for Edward A Mayo looks promising, i'll check it out.

I edited my last post but just google Edward's name

Illman was who Mary Elsie married after her husband had died in WW2 and stayed in the Ilford area

i googled his name but couldn't find anything....
