Use the parameters 1940 - 1960, surname Heffernan, mother's maiden name Heffernan....that's assuming she was unmarried at the time.

thats the problem, we known she may of come over when she was 16, but lived some of her youth in care, We say from 1942 a male child was born to her. This was from her medical records, but was taken by staff while they were trying to read the information and when requested they said they had been lost after her death.

Looking for a male Heffernan born either in Ireland or England, it a very long shot and he was born in a home run by nuns and taken from his mother who name was Eliza Heffernan, also known as Lilly and Lizzie.
He was likely to have been adopted so may of never been registared under Heffernan. Possibly places of birth could be Thomastown and Carrick on Suir In Ireland or even Dublin. For birth in England possible Wales or the Brentford, Twickenham, Richmond area.
Eliza was born in 1926 in Thomastown her mother was kate or kathleen Hefffernan. father unknown. She may of been sent to her aunts Mollie, Peg and Annie in Twickenham which would of been after 1932.
