I am trying to find mother i was born april 1962 had a brother john born 1965 mother was married to john walton in 1961 in liverpool if anyone can help that would be great

Have you got their marriage cert for their ages at marriage.

When was the last time you had contact with either parent??

no i will try and get this, last time contact with mother 46 years ago father now deceased. but never gave no info on any family members

so am assuming they parted ways, was there a divorce? . if so she may have remarried.

yes they did , but dont think they divorced

If there was no divorce then she cant remarry, she may have taken up with someone and is known by their name so unless someone in the family has that knowledge then cant see how you can locate her.

Have you tried to see if she may have had other children?

Have you looked on Search Trees to see if anyone has her in their tree

where you brought up with John ?

I see his birth cert of 1965.

yes until i was 14, he died when he was 17.

Ah I am so sorry bless him . such a young age..

To try for any other children then look for births in the Lancashire area after Eileen left with, the same mmn as on your birth certs.

It may work or not and may mean taking a chance and getting some certs . a bit costly .

I did do a look on Search Trees and if Eileen was born in Liverpool then there are several with her name in their tree, you could try contacting them to see if its your mum


Edit . Had a look and there's no more Walton/Carter births for Liverpool after John .

Unfortunately there's masses with mothers maiden of Carter so dont think that will work,

You may find it better to go back on her birth and see she had siblings and then trace them forward,

You do need the marriage cert though for her age and fathers name as a starter
