Unless you know what his first name was, and when and where he was born, no-one can search for info

If you find those details, you can look for contacts yourself in 'search all trees'

All I have is the heading on the letter he sent to my Grandmother as follows: Band Sergeant G Fry, (Late Corporal) 86 B Company, 1/4 Essex Regt. 161 Bridgade 54 Division, M.E. Force. No other clues.

Would add that he was with my grandfather when he was killed on the 22 August 1915. Can't be the one Jan suggested - he was already deceased.

Yes, well done, Annielaurie. A link to this information would be much appreciated. My main objective is to see if there are any living relatives of George Fry who might like to see copies of a couple of letters he wrote in 1915. I wonder if someone is research this family tree?
