In your opening post, you also asked about James W Adams.
The link provided by RRose suggests that he was an earlier generation to Ella Lorena Rhoades Pumphrey who herself was born in 1869.

Unfortunately, to trace his descendents would involve creating a family tree and days of research.
If you could provide the most recent records you have of his family members, we might be able to bring the descendents forward to within the last few years or so.

thank u for all the information. i do have a copy of the book written by james w adams and got the name of ella rhoades pumphrey from that also a barbara white was mentioned from dunedin new zealand who sent some photos to ella . i will also follow up all the other names mention. i was also wondering what ella,s maiden nae was woud it have been adams.

According to the Tarrant tree on Ancestry, owned by peggytrobinson, RHOADES was her surname. It is quite common even today for females, especially in the USA to keep their maiden name as another forename when they marry.

Her parents, according to the tree were James W RHOADES 1836-1920 and Jennie ADAMS 1842-1932.

James Wilberforce Adams (Sep 1837 in Ohio - 21 Jul 1924 in Chicago) was one of Jennie’s brothers. The Tarrant tree suggests he had 6 grandchildren. If you google his name, there a number of search results which may help 'bring him forward'.

You might like to consider taking out a free trial to Ancestry, and use the 14 days to make contact with the various tree owners. Although not directly related, they may be willing to share their research.
