Find Living Relatives

Hi I am new to Genes reunited, I am trying to trace any living relatives from my fathers side of the family,
If anyone can point me in the right direction of where to start that would be great.
Anthony Peter Johnston, married my mother June Pauline Tatam in 1957, me and my late brother were born in 1958 in Grimsby. They divorced around 1969 and Anthony re married in Nottingham. Anthony was born in Northern Ireland and moved to Grimsby to do National Service in the RAF at RAF binbrook.
I am so grateful for any help you can offer to get me started as I really have no idea where to start :)

2 things to get you started. Firstly check if anyone shares your family - 'search all trees' is found in the search box above right.
If you haven't already got a copy, you need your parents' marriage cert. to find out his father's name.
I take it you do not have contact with him? Do you know if he is still living?

Have you a birth date for Anthony (only do not post it here)?

Hi, thank you for the replies,
I last had contact with my father when in 1969, I haven't seen or heard from him since and it was my mothers wishes not to really ask about him. I know basic information on him, I don't know his exact birthday, just month and day just a rough estimate on year (I have two dates). I suppose if I get a copy of their marriage cert I can know that for definite, I assume he's still in Nottingham and with the lady he married after my mum, I don't know if he's still living or not, would be nice to know if I have other siblings as I am now alone, my mother and brother passed away last year.

The second marriage appears to be to a Mary Degnan.
There are 2 possible daughters to this marriage in Nottingham, in 1970 and 1972, one with a slightly differently spelled mother's maiden name, so either error or different family.

Thank you ever so much for your help. I always thought the lady he married was called Moira / Myra, however as a young child hearing the name Mary in a irish accent, that could be my mistake? Thanks again,

I cannot see a birth for her, and was wondering if she was Irish.
Have you looked for him on 192.com, or bt online for Nottingham?

I'm not sure where his new wife was from, but Anthony was born in Belfast.
Yes, we have found a telephone number and part address on 192. Trying to link this all together is very daunting :)
