Hello there I am trying to find my Grandfather George Williams I dont have much to hand about him at all I think he was born around 1920 in Blackpool? I was told that he was a fireman in the Luton area, The last known address for my grandfather was Strathmore Avenue Luton where he lived with his partner at the time Louise (I belive they werew not married) they had a son called Colin Williams, George ( my grandfather ) also had an older son George Christopher Williams (sadly passed in 1983) and my mother Frances Louise Williams (also known as Glover as she was fostered ), The last we heard of Colin was that he lived in the Croydon area, I completly understand there is not much to go by but any help would be very grateful many thanks Tara |

Tara, can I just ask if he married your grandmother? The reason I ask is that it might help in your search to know as much as possible about him, and the marriage cert would give a few more clues. |

Thank you Reggie, George Christopher Williams is my uncle he died back in 1983 Frances is my mother we do have my mothers birth records and it does comfirm that her mothers name was Rigby, My mother was searching for her mother a few years back and thought she had success when a gentleman got in contact and told her a few things Ie her mothers full name grandmothers maidern name he said she had a brother and sister now doing a lot of research on this my self it seems all the information was incorrect which is why I am now trying to find my grandfather as he would be able to give her correct details, Sadly all we do know is that his name is George Williams with the known address in Luton but that was many years ago when I was a child myself, I know he no longer lives there, I can remember his partner at the time was Louise they were not married but did have a son called Colin the last my mother see of Colin was at George C funeral where she remembers him being about 14-15 years of age I was a few months old then and am 30 now so he must be in his late 40's, Sorry I cant hand out much more I think its time we finally give up and expect the fact that this family will just be my mother her children and grandchildren, Thank you to all that have put in your time and kindness to search and help my mother kind regurds Tara |
