Find Living Relatives

I would be grateful if somebody could point me in the right direction as i would like to find if my family member was living with other family members at an address in 1963 ( this could confirm or not! if my research is correct. I do have the correct primary name and address but as some should be living people do not want to put on boards . Just not sure how i go about this.
Any advice would be appreciated.

You need to go to the nearest main libarary to the address or maybe contact them online. It can only be searched by the address and only people over 21 would show

Thanks Jax - as the address is Barrow in Furness and I am down South I think it will be an on-line thing and yes the primary person will have been over 21.

I have phoned up the library been passed to town hall where gentleman says i probably cant get info because of data protection but agreed to put me through to another dept where I had to leave a message - so maybe I can find the info, time will tell !!

I have never done it myself, but I have not heard of anyone having said it could not be looked up because of data protection.

Were they aware it was 1963 you were looking for?

Hi Jax - yes i did say 1963 and told the gentleman I thought as the details were open for scrutiny that it shouldnt apply - which is why he put me through to a different dept and i left a message. If i dont hear anything next week I will try again- thankyou for your help

They obviously put you on to the wrong person - the town hall does not control the libraries the county council does. Barrow library has all the ERs.

If you pm me the address & name I'll take a look on Monday - the RO isn't open today.
