Oh dear...I thought I was replying to a later message: I should have said: we have found Norma, BernaDINE, Michael and more of Wally's kids. So the counter stands at 8 and still counting....maybe anywhere along the Thames Estuary or beyond, maybe even as far as Belgium. |

UPDATE: thanks to everyone! Meantime, we have FOUND the baby we were looking for: turns out that child - and at least one more later one - was registered under the name of Cadwallader. Eventually deduced from army papers. Sadly, we were too late: it turns out this guy, my half brother, died last year before we made contact. Happily, we are now in touch with his family. AND we are still looking for any other children our Canadian Dad Wally/Walter/Walt Hill may have fathered. If you think that might be you, wherever you are, a DNA test will give you - and us - closure. Looking forward to hearing from you. Those of us who have found each other up to now have found it a wonderful, enriching experience...simply knowing a little more about who we ARE and where we came from. Thanks! Katie |

Yes thanks Jan. Nothing obvious there, but I've messaged one or two possibles just in case. And thanks to Rose too: I've edited and added rough locations in Canada. That will have to be enough for now. I've an idea he was around long enough for his children to know this much about him. |

Have you tried 'search trees' above just in case anyone else has him in their tree? |

Do you know his exact date of birth or where he was born? If someone is out there Googling his name, you need some more details. |

Walter Hill 1921 Saskatchewan Canada -1989 BC was a Canadian soldier who was in England again in the 1940s and maybe early 50s. He died in Canada but had several children in England including me and I'd very much like to contact them. |
