i would like to thank all who have helped me with this search .i am closing the thread now as it seems dot died so long ago i cant tell mum now .,as her memory is so bad i think she must have been told and forgotten as she did know the boys joined the air force ,so must have been told .

Thank you for your information .i find it hard to believe that she died so long ago as it only seemed a few years since we last had a christmas card from her then we did not hear anything and lost touch .mum will be devestated to think it could have been dot .i know she married and had two sons both of whom joined the australian air force it was dot who gave mum this info but if this death is correct then time has passed much quicker than mum realises.then again mums 80 now .

Please accept my apologies for not answering you quicker but my home town has very little broadband speed and i have not been able to get on here for a few days .
Thank you for all your help and searching .I am sorry if you feel i misled you in any way i had forgotten about my earlier search details for dorothy as it has been a couple of years since i was a memeber of gr i have only just re registered .


Dorothy was around mums age when she was mums bridesmaid mum was 20 years old when she married so i have assumed Dorothy would have been 18-22 ish .


I was hoping to find Dorothy fit and well in time for my parents 60th wedding annivesary (Diamond .)as mum wanted her to be there .They lost touch some years ago but did know Andy had died although not when .


I had been told and found the passenger listing for Dorothy but some one contacted me to say i had the wrong person .so i drew a blank from there . <3 :-)

As the info about her emigration - and her age at the time - was provided in 2009, why did you mislead us?

Sorry to say, she died in 1969 in Victoria. Her death is on Australia Death Index, 1787-1985 as Dorothy Yule. Father's name is Philip Convery which fits.

From the electoral rolls, she was living in Diamond Valley in 1968. This is close to Melbourne.

Have you tried to trace her siblings?

They would probably know about their sister..........
