Alison, I am the son of Albert Edward Yates, born 13.10.1909 in Burnley Lancashire. His mother was Agnes May Yates nee Le Poidevin, of Guernsey, who died in Jersey in the early 1960s. To my certain knowledge she had two other sons, Frederick, whom I only met once, and Thomas Victor, born 20.04 1912 in Guernsey died in Jersey late 60s early 70s. |

Looking for any living relatives (descendents) of Maden (later Albert Maden) Yates born in Burnley Lancs in 1879-1880. He was married to a Jersey lady, Agnes May and they had a son Albert Edward Yates in 1910. In 1911 census they were living in Guernsey. Maden was a military man, in the Machester regiment.Maden's parents were James and Mary E and were cotton weavers in Burnley Lancs. Please if this rings any bells with anyone I would love to hear from you. Thank you very much, Alison Yates :-) |
