Alan Newson Jones - Born 1927

I'm trying to search for my long lost uncle Alan Newson Jones who was born on 1st December 1927. He married an Evonne Ann Hadlow I believe in 1957. I have found birth and marriage records but cannot find any records on the death register and so assume he is still alive.

My trail is now gone cold as I have no idea where to go next. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here they are in the 1959 London Electoral Register:

Name: Alan N Jones
Electoral Year: 1959
Parliamentary Division: Stoke Newington and Hackney North
County or Borough: Hackney

Name: Evonne A Jones
Electoral Year: 1959
Parliamentary Division: Stoke Newington and Hackney North
County or Borough: Hackney

There is the possibility that a son was born to them in Hackney in 1958.

Your Best bet would be to use a site such as www.192.com to see if they are listed on more recent electoral registers. Possibly concentrate on his wife due to the slightly unusual spelling of her forename.

Researching:
Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

Thanks to you both for your responses, I have tried to search other trees on this site but unfortunately nothing ever appears. I'll go and try the 192 route though, definitely worth a go.

If this doesn't work, might you try racing members of Evonne's family? It's a very unusual name. If she was born Bristol, she has 2 siblings. There is a good chance someone will know what became of the couple.

Thanks to all that have responded to my request for information and the information provided was very useful. However I have still been unable to locate any of the missing family specifically using the 192 directory.

Any further assistance anyone could possibly provide would be gratefully received.

Look at freebmd for the son's birth........and a possible daughter

As Evonne was not born until 1937, she is quite probably alive
