Does any one know how long social services keep records of fostering as I have a cousin who would like to see her records from the late forties maybe someone will know Thank you |

It depends on if her fostering was done though an organisation such as Barnados if so they could still hold records of under care,,,,,or apply to the area--county council where she was fostered in,,,,,,late 40s came under Welfare and their records could be archived so may take an age to track down --if they have survived,not all have. |
